Marcus Aurelius. In the evening, we transfer to Tripoli
airport, flight to Sebha,

After breakfast,
drive
along beautiful
Wadi-Elhaya, transfer to Al-awinat,
the real town of Tuareg people, lunch will be taken en route
or after we reach to Al-awinat. Continue to Al-awinat, dinner & residence

Day 4-6: Al-Awinat - Ghat (29-Des)to
(31-Des) |

We drive to Ghat,
we
have a time to see abandoned medina (old town) and
fortress.
In the
evenings there are opportunities to join the dancings,
singings of the Tuareg and other ethnic Libyan groups.
All along these three days, we life real moment of
most colorful and major events in this
part of the Sahara, the Tuareg camel races.
And we have enough time to discover real life of Tuareg
"The knight of sahara". |

Early this morning, we drive to
Akakus region. The Jebel-
Akakus is made up of dark basalt rock
formations rising up from the desert
sands. You will have plenty of time to
explore the natural rock formations as
well as view the ancient rock paintings
and carvings. Located in some of the
sheltered Wadis are prehistoric rock
paintings and carvings dating back over
12,000 years. The rock formations of
Jebel-Akakus are very unique
and the area is a UNESCO World Heritage
listed site, dinner & residence in
desert camps. |

Day8 to 10: Akakus region |

|
|
| |
|
|
|
After breakfast you will complete your
tour discovering
Akakus region. You have
a time to exploring this fascinating
region and viewing some of the famous
prehistoric rock art for which this area
is renowned, dinner & residence in
desert.

Day11: Akakus

|

After breakfast, we transfer to Wadi-Matkhandush, have lunch en route
reaching Matkhandush about Sun set
having lunch and overnight there in
dunes camp.

Day12:
Matkhandush – Grema |

|
|
| |
|
|
|
After breakfast start visiting the Matkhandush graphics area,
exploring
beautiful Wadi- Mathendush, a World
Heritage Site and an open-air museum of
the most beautiful rock paintings in the
whole Libyan Desert, where we find
10,000-year-old engravings of the
elephants and giraffes that once roamed
here,
then continue to Germa having dinner, camping in
dunes. |

Day13: Grema – Sahara lakes |

|
| |
|
|
|
After breakfast proceed to visit
Germa, the ancient capital of the
Germantes, the first settlement was
founded in the 900 B.C. Visit the museum and
an ancient site of the Germantes
civilization. Then we transfer to
Sahara lakes. Have a dinner and camping
near Sahara lakes. |

Day14: Sahara lakes - Sebha - Tripoli |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
After breakfast, we will discover the
Sahara lakes, then you we get the lunch
and continue to Sebha camp, after that transfer to
airport in order to fly to Tripoli,
dinner
in a local
restaurant
& residence
in the
hotel.

Day15: Tripoli – Leptis-Magna - Tripoli |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
Full day visit Leptis-Magna, a major
Roman port in North Africa, which grew
rich from exports of olive oil and
grain. It had public buildings
commensurate with its importance, an
impressive forum, Baths and triumphal
arch. These were protected through many
centuries by a thick covering of sand.
Nearby is the Villa-Silin, a large
well-preserved building with extensive
quality mosaics and frescoes,
later we drive back to Tripoli,
dinner
in a local
restaurant
& residence
in the
hotel. |

Day16: Tripoli - Sebratha
- Tripoli - Departure |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
Today we travel an hour west of Tripoli
to Sebratha,
lunch will be taken
in
Sebratha. It's
a UNESCO World Heritage
site considered among the finest ruins
in coastal northern Africa. Sebratha was
selected as an Emporium, or trading
post, by the Phoenician merchant
Sebratha
holds one of the magnificent and
interesting Roman theatre and one of the
most splendid mosaics of the Byzantine
period. We will also visit the
Roman Museum here, featuring
well-preserved mosaics, frescoes, and
other relics unearthed at the site. Back
to Tripoli, Later in the evening we
transfer to
Tripoli
airport, departure to home destination. |
